Nick Sherk

Pastor of Community Life

Nick Sherk serves as the Pastor of Community Life at Cornerstone Community Fellowship. He graduated from Cedarville University in May 2026 with a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and a concentration in Biblical Counseling. After previously attending Cornerstone for about two and a half years, he followed God's call to ministry, a direction he had long felt but only later embraced in faith. While at Cedarville, he married his wife, Mikayla, on June 1, 2024, and together they welcomed their daughter, Haven Hosanna. Nick enjoys spending time with his family, watching a good television show with his wife, reading writings from the early church fathers, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and playing board games when he is not engaged in ministry work.

Larry Hough

Elder

Larry Hough was born and raised in northern Indiana and graduated from Penn High School and Manchester University with a degree in secondary education. He met his wife Beverly, while at Manchester, and they have two married daughters, Stephanie and Jennifer, along with grandchildren. Larry and Bev enjoy traveling and spending time with family. A member of Cornerstone since its inception, Larry has faithfully served in numerous hands-on roles, including helping with the construction of the Worship Center and ongoing maintenance. After becoming a Deacon and using his construction skills in service to the church, he felt God calling him to serve more fully as an Elder, with a focus on teaching God's Word and encouraging others to actively live it out.

Jeremy Kuskye

Elder

Originally from Plymouth, Indiana, Jeremy Kuskye has attended Cornerstone since 1994. He accepted Christ at age 21 following his parents’ divorce, a pivotal experience that shaped his faith. He has been married to his wife, Stephanie, since 1997, and they have two children, Noah and Mikalah. With nearly 20 years of involvement in youth ministry, he currently helps lead Cornerstone’s youth programs and is grateful for God’s guidance as he serves the church.

Jim Cornell

Elder

Jim Cornell completed a ministry degree in 1995 and was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in various pastoral roles before moving to the Plymouth area and attending Cornerstone in 2017. Feeling God’s direction, he pursued becoming an Elder at Cornerstone, driven by a passion for teaching Scripture in clear, practical terms and building personal connections across all ages in the congregation. He and his wife, Sandy, have written and taught a Bible study for nearly 15 years that brings the Bible to life and can be adapted for all age groups. They live with their daughter, Angela, on a small homestead, enjoy outdoor activities, and he has interests in motorsports, aviation racing, and inventing practical machines for homestead life.

Joe Stanley

Elder

He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 19 years and have two children, Arianna and Jamison. They live in North Liberty and are both teachers in the John Glenn School system, sharing a passion for helping students grow and learn. As a family, they stay active through sports, coaching the John Glenn track team together, and enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoys woodworking and hunting with his children. Members of Cornerstone since 2004, they have valued raising their children within the church community and actively help lead Vacation Bible School, including building and designing the VBS sets. Feeling called by God, he pursued becoming an elder to use his gift of teaching beyond the classroom and take on a greater role in teaching and guiding the church in Christ’s love.

Sue Cox

Administrative Assistant

Susan Cox has been a member of Cornerstone Community Fellowship for 30 years and serves as the church's administrative assistant, providing support for both the pastoral staff and congregation.
